This book kept you on your toes. Just when you think it’s about to go one way it doesn’t. Loved the suspense in it all.

Love this author! The stories are told so well. The performance of the story is perfect.

I would have given this a higher ranking if it wasn’t for the last book in the series. I didn’t even finish it.

I’m half way through book 2,love the story but the Barb character gets a little annoying at times. at first I was like “hell yeah, she’s a badass,then as the story progresses she just gets annoying. Great story so far though.

Too many people and weird names, same names and switching from person to person. Couldn’t finish.

I stumbled onto the original series – American Apocalypse through the preview clips audible as started doing at the end of books. I loved that series and this one. In the American Apocalypse series is where you get introduced to Grandma Harp. OMG the witt of that woman. Both are worth the read/listen.

I thoroughly enjoyed this read. I would highly recommend this entire series to anyone who is a fan of the genre.
