I liked the way the story opened and everything in between. This was the first series I read that taught me, where I understood, a fair amount about US Government & various agency functions. It also opens one’s eyes to the possibility of government dirty deeds. I have read this series so many times over..
Many characters going different directions against, a variiety of good and not good characters. Many heros and villains. Many nick of time climaxes.
Waiting for the next one!! The storytelling is enough to keep the reader/listener attentive. When it was over, I was already worried about the fate of the characters.

One of the best post apocalyptic series I’ve ever read. All six books were excellent!!
The story of an average guy coping with an apocalyptic scenario was appealing, but all it dealt with was all the rape and sex that would go on versus dealing deeper challenges. Skip this and go with The Days of Noah instead
