Very well written tale of this most horrible crime and betrayal of trust. A must read!

The characters were interesting and developed as the novels continued. There were twists and turns which made it more exciting. It was hard to stop listening because I wanted to know what was going to happen next.
Review from The Complete Age of Embers Series (Books 1-5) →
The only thing I did not like was having a male character witness lots of bad stuff but still make bad decisions when the story claimed the characters were being trained in self defense and tactical maneuvers. Also if you know the dangers why not have folks on watch day and night.
This leaves as many dangling questions as the other books in this series. What happens to Molly and Priscilla? Did Baller really cave? Where will Carrie go now? What’s up with Pendleton’s girls? ugh. very unsatisfying.
The whole Mad Mick Series is a great one to listen to. Everything that I’ve listened to of Franklin Horton’s has been good.
If you are like me and need a great story and a voice to accompany as well as this book did for me. Look no further. Thank you! Great listen!
Some of the conversations where some characters arei trying to talk like a “street thug” is pretty sad. Fortunately it only happens a couple times. Otherwise it’s a pretty good storyline so far.
Love Jack Olsen, a very accurate author. This narrator is always engaging and changes his tone when reiterating conversations.
Reader Sounded like the man himself. No glitches. Great performance. Great stories. Might listen again sometime.
