I am pretty sure I heard Kevin’s voice crack in the end with emotion. Unbelievable story , amazing listen. I could not help but binge it. Of course I spent hours after reviewing the case. My heart goes out to all involved sans the killers.

It seems like a long listen but now that I look back, I was always engaged and the plot kept me entertained. How timely is the book and brings out the ghost of Christmas future if we are not careful.

Jim is truly a hero of the first water, reminding me of King David in some ways, in King and Slater (by Matt Rogers) in others. Of course narration by Kevin Pierce is always a bonus plus situation. Lost in the sauce…. Too much irrelevant info and not enough action. 2 books in and I just can’t do another one. I thought it would get better with the second book, but still not much action going on.

Love the character depth, the story, and action! The author does an amazing job building the story as the characters come and go. Many twists and surprises along the way and a believable novel! Will be checking out more by this author.

Best take of the Black Autumn series- well done. Looking forward to future works. Good luck.
