I liked how the characters grew in their relationships and accomplishments. I’d like to think people would really stand up to both invasion and catastrophes. We definitely need to be prepared these days!!

I liked the family of patriots. The relationships between the characters and the depth of empathy shared.

I liked the characters, interesting normal people that do what they have to do. It is a great read.

An absolutely believable scenario with relatable characters. It certainly makes you think about how quickly life can change, and how ill prepared we are as a society to respond. It’s times like this that I’m glad my memory is so rotten, because I can’t wait to listen to it again!

Pierce’s narration is perfect for Horton”s characters, storyline, setting, and style. These two were meant to create together. Every new book I hear just solidifies that idea more.

This is probably one of Kevin pierces best narrated series. I was resistant to start this series because I didn’t think it was my genre of choice but here I am, purchasing book 10

the narrator mimiced a “womans” voice multiple times. I felt it was insulting to all women as we really do not speak like that!!
