The relationship between Connor and Barb was very funny and endearing. I was hoping Thomas 2 lieutenants would make it out alive. some parts seemed unfair especially those forced at gun point to join or die. nice story overall.
This was a particularly nice prepper apocalyptic story in that it was about a CME. The writer is thoughtful about man’s condition once put to the test of survival, especially if there are children in the story. We all will do what we have to when our children are threatened, which brings out the worst..

Gregg Olsen is an amazing true crime writer and never misses a step. The narrator was truly remarkable and I felt so relaxed and at ease listening to his voice (despite the subject matter). Did Tanya Reid kill her daughter? As always, Gregg Olsen leaves that decision up to his reader.
Love these post-apocalyptic type stories. Plan on reading all the books about Connor. The drama is high, but not too ridiculously overcome.
