I’d recommend this series to anyone with a work commute or a road trip. It is well written and very well narrated. Mark has used scripture to sculpt a parallel fiction that is very entertaining. While it may be listened to without the previous books, I would still read the beginning of sorrows box set..

I’ll start by saying the narrator does not do the author any favors. The conversations are meshed together and really don’t align with the seriousness of the situation. The author does a good job in laying out the scenery and the story isn’t bad. It starts slow and does have a ton of character conversations..
