Good story overall but “Boyd Craven” is apparently a pen name for a woman. Not sure why so many of these prepper novels have such a strong feminist trend in the characters but by the second book it wears pretty thin and makes the book so-so when the story itself had more potential.

I have been following this case and this author’s podcast for many years. Binged this listen in two days. My only critique is that I wish so badly that Nic narrated it himself.
Overall it was a pretty good listen. Worth the credit due to the length. Kevin Pierce’s narration was great as always. The story was a bit predictable at times. 3rd book runs a little heavy on the character’s internal monologs occasionally but overall it was a good story.
I loved this series yes it had guns but it also had faith and real problems that will probably occur if this stuff happens. I have a bug out bag and my adult children and their children all have one. In the end the Bible will be fulfilled because his word will not return void…
