It’s my 3rd or 4th time with this series. This last time I listened to it. Action, adventure, sadness and realism. Wish there was more in the series!

Didn’t like it within the first few chapters, but the story is becoming excellent (middle of book 2) narrator can be a little too stiff

This author proves you can still have a clean and ethical storyline while providing excellent entertainment.

This was excellent and well written. Nic’s personality was evident all through the story which was great. His jokes and forthright opinions of the perpetrators were entertaining. This book was also informative and obviously researched thoroughly. Thanks for an awesome read.

I’ll start by saying the narrator does not do the author any favors. The conversations are meshed together and really don’t align with the seriousness of the situation. The author does a good job in laying out the scenery and the story isn’t bad. It starts slow and does have a ton of character conversations..

Really enjoyed books 1-3. With this one, I found myself waiting for these rambling chapters to just end. Maybe it’s me, but I couldn’t follow some of the characters some old, some new… and I just stopped caring. Checked out around Chapter16

The storyline is still fun,, but characters start not exactly acting like they should if they’ve gone through everything they’ve experienced. One far-fetched James Bond plan fails, they immediately try another using similar tactics with even less planning. Good story overall but “Boyd Craven” is apparently a pen name for a woman. Not sure why so many of these prepper novels have such a strong feminist trend in the characters but by the second book it wears pretty thin and makes the book so-so when the story itself had more potential.
