I like true crime. I am fascinated by the banality of evil. It’s so common that we aren’t that shocked anymore by the horrible things that people do. So like I said, this genre is my thing….BUT I couldn’t listen to this. AND F***ING audible won’t let me return it!

Great writing! If you haven’t heard a Kevin Pierce narration, check this book out! He’s my absolute favorite!

Goes away from normal apocalyptic zombie end of the world scenarios. New idea for eotwawki. Different take on terminator walking around.

Pretty good story, some fun suspense. The performance wasn’t great. Just didn’t take me into the story. I kept getting pulled out by a bad British accent or dropping accents.

Great addition to the serious. Wrote well like always and narrated perfect like always. Great action throughout I never once got bored.

Story drags quite a bit. Wasn’t interested in the side characters and the main character’s luck given his stupidity is annoying. Won’t continue.

It was a interesting series. I enjoyed the stories of the brothers and their families. I didn’t like the ending in book five, but still enjoyed the story and excellent narration.

absolutely amazing story of one family’s life during difficult times and how they struggled to survive difficult times.

Dan, Holly, Crin, & Bird’s adventures in the Sawtooth Mountains escalate to more danger, love, loyalty, and insanity. Totally unexpected events lead to more crazy, yet believable, events. Kevin Pierce’s narration was perfect as always! Great job, Franklin Horton!!!!

I have enjoyed the previous three books, but I thought this one was very unsatisfying because it had too many elements that were hard to believe. Characters with behavior that just didn’t make sense which requires the reader to put common sense aside to accept the story. I think it could have been much better..
