Horton never fails to weave an excellent story of intrigue and fun. Can’t wait for the next one.
Another excellent story

Kevin Pierce remains #1 of my top 5 reader-narrators ever. I think if Kevin and Scott Brick ever collaborated on any book, Audible’s stock would rocket into the stratosphere. As to the story, the world building of Marcus Battle could easily rival and overshoot any other fictional book written. That’s saying a lot from me…
The ” Mad Mick” has had my attention for over 2 years. The story is excellent, I couldn’t pit it down. Thank you Mr. Horton and Mr. Pierce.
I grabbed this book because I am a huge Kevin Pierce fan but quickly fell in love with the story and touching cases explored in this book. Honoring those that have been lost is close to my heart and has encouraged me to read more about the people and agencies in this book. Well done..
I like when new characters come in. Brought in a bunch of good ones in 10. Little shocked on the killing of one, thought from the beginning he would have took a liking to what Jim was doing, which he did. Some of the plot lines I can see where they are going, so when..
The overall story sounds like I’d imagine how people will react and behave if civilization were to end. Having the “grandma” voice actor call out the chapters is a bit awkward sounding at first because I’m used to hearing the main narrator, but you get used to it.
Love thus narrarator!! Try to chose books he reads. Having said that this story was dead on for a true crime junkie like me. I would intermittently Google the names to see the real folks involved!!! Very disturbing like most psychopaths!!! But that family was wack each in their own way.
Being a teenager in the ‘60’s and having been in high school for the Cuban Missile Crisis, there were two books that grabbed at me. “Alas, Babylon” was written in ‘59 and describes how a community in Florida tackles the aftermath of a nuclear exchange. “On The Beach” came a bit later and addresses how..
I love listening to mark Goodwin books with Kevin Pierce narrative but I sure wish they had more box sets. The cost is way more than I’m willing to spend right now.
