By far one of the worst, post-apocalyptic books I’ve read yet. The story was terrible, the character build-up was non-existent, the whole thing with the grandmother was annoying, and the dialog was awful. It had this pedophile feel through the whole series. I enjoy this genre, but this book is way over the top on biblical connections and the end of the world, all the worst conspiracy theories interwoven with the bible. Just a bit way to much for me, just not the kind of book that i can listen to and enjoy as an escape.
if you don’t like it you’re a dunderhead. excellent plot, character development, moves the pace along but gives great details.

This book took 90 chapters to tell a story that could have taken half the time. Yes, it’s a terrible crime but the victims’ ordeal is told when it happens then again when they prepare for the trial and again during the trial. I recently returned another book by this author when he took chapters..
You need to know this story if you’re into true crime, however it’s not very well down in the first half at least. Rarely know who’s perspective is being shared for a while. Second half comes together better and it’s ultimately a good book.
