It was gripping at times, and I was lightly stimulated at others. I was surprised by the ending, when all hope seemed lost. I appreciated that it didn’t make the straight boy turn gay, because while we all wish that would happen, it doesn’t.
I’m not a huge fan of this narrator. Especially after enjoying the tales from Verania series narrated by Michael Lesley. Michael Lesley was awesome and is more my cup of tea. Kirt graves is more laid back and I find myself wishing he would let loose and give us a variety of female voices. A..
Solid story, great narration, but the author could have shaved about two hours off this book. Ox’s anger over the packs separation took too long to get over. And the “he said…. he said…..he said….he said” was distracting. Other than that I enjoyed this audible.
The story was great! I was annoyed at first by the narrator for Alden due to his stereotypical Jewish accent, but Alden’s character development made my annoyance subside. So, I became really engrossed in the story.
Klune knows about the importance of stories and cares deeply about his characters and his readers. Your heart is safe in his hands.
The basis of this story is truly MOVIE worthy. Anubis. The undead. The instruction manual (why don’t people ever read all of the instructions ?!?!). The promising cliffhanger? Oh, My! Totes ready for the next installment, Adrienne! Just like 50 Shades wasn’t “about” the sex (of which you get PLENTY of in this book), that..
I loved everything about this. I can’t wait for the next book, and now I need to read everything Adrienne Wilder has ever written.
I really enjoyed this story! It was fun, light-hearted and cute, with just the right amount of emocional drama: just what I was hoping for! I have to agree with other listeners that the voice actor for Alden might not have been the best choice for his character, but the fact that English isn’t my..
The story has a few twists and turns that I didn’t see coming, but in the end, Bell wraps it all up with an ending that seems a tad bit too predictable and convenient.Graves’ narration was good, but for me, there wasn’t enough distinction between character voices.
