Emotional, tear jerking, not afraid to kill off main characters. A little bit too much at times but it’s necessary to keep the plot moving. They don’t push off grief as a plot device like a lot of media. It is deeply seeded in the characters for the entirety of the book, like real trauma…

First book I have read from this author and I was not disappointed. Narration was great as well. The dynamic between the two characters really worked and I felt like I was growing with them. Looks like I will have to read the next one because I can’t wait for the audio!
