Extraordinary, thought-proving series. Marvelous cast of characters. Brilliant concept, well-wrought, sustained, and satisfyingly completed. It’s one of those series I’m sad to see end. Some of these characters will stay with me for a very long time. Thanks, J. S. Morin for an awesome ride! Great narration, as well.
This feels like the most genuine, most relatable, most heartwarming collection of exploits from a tabletop rpg adaptation of Firefly. I swear you could make up an entire ruleset for a TTRPG just based on what happens. Carl/Brad the plucky charisma based ace fighter pilot. Tanny the strength based fighter/barbarian that’s addicted to chems. Mort..
J.S. Morin has mastered the epic sci-fi fantasy story.Surprising, exciting, humorous, and full of numerous characters with depth.Great stuff.
14 hours in and simply can’t take any more of the bungling Esper character. As a secondary character in the Black Ocean, and playing counterpoint to Mort, she was tolerable. Dare I say even required. With the Mercy for hire omnibus…. Esper is downright annoying as $%$#%. oh no… we can hurt anyone…. that would..
If you like thr blinding of Magic and science fiction in firefly like setting this book is for you! the voice acting and story are amazing, and the length of this collection make it a stellar deal!
85 hours in and I loved it!! 170 some odd hours more to go. I picked up all 3 collections, so I’m in for a looooooonnnggg ride. It’s not the super complex and deep story of a Sanderson or Rothfuss tale, and thats not a bad thing, just more like listening to 8 seasons of..
J.S Morin and Mikael Naramore perfect Duo!I’ve listened to almost every book written by J.S Morin. And Mikael Naramore is definitely the best Narrator out there. Really just a fantastic Duo those two!
I’m not sure what to do finishing this series. Yes, I will listen to anything and everything done my Morin and Naramore, but I’m still going to miss the crew of the Mobius. I highly, highly recommend this series. I loved every minute of it.
