The stories remind me of Firefly, with wizards, and aliens. The narration was truly entertaining. Loved the different voices and personalities he brought to life.

author’s note reminds us that the series is inspired by Firefly and serenity instead of technology they just use magic which is really what all that made up fancy stuff is and we are treated with mission after mission of shenanigans high flying space adventures and more shenanigans. looking forward to the next instalment.
But this has become contrived IMHO. It was great for the first few “missions” but now it’s just not any fun and I think the author is really pushing the limits of what’s interesting and what’s just filler. I feel like every character is more interesting than Esper is and she’s the MC. You’re doing..
good series. got a bit jumpy at the end, but that is after a lot of books describing the characters.
Exciting, slow at times but always entertaining. The ending was done well and I feel satisfied where the story ended.
