This was an amazing book. I love all the black ocean series. Mercy for Hire is great. I hope J. S. Morin has more stories with these characters. I highly recommend purchasing these. The narrator is amazing as well. He never misses a characters voice. That is huge.

worth every hour I spent listening! the narrator did a great job bring all of the characters to life. this would make an amazing tv series. I would binge watch them all.

I read mixed reviews about this collection but the idea of ‘lovable gang of semi bad guys (and girls!) going on adventures together intrigued me so I decided to jump in. Very glad I did! I love these characters, every one of them! They are all good people deep down and their shenanigans are hilarious…

So, I started this story on a long drive. The male voice with a predominantly female amount of characters was… an interesting choice. The reader’s voice is… okay I suppose? There’s a cadence or… something about the inflection that’s off putting to me though. I can’t quite put my finger on it yet… too… announcer..
I love all of the J.S Morin series, I was addicted from the first Black Ocean book. I wish they can make it into a TV show would be amazing. I can’t wait to read and listen to more JS Morin’s books. Thank you for the entertainment
I loved how deeply everything went… from the plot to the characters to the world building involved, this series is a marvel to hold dear! I feel like this is probably the best book series that I have found in a long time!
I enjoyed the concept alot in the first set of books. in the first series even the antagonists were somewhat likable. In this series no one is likeable. spoilers ahead… There is also a major plot flaw. One of the main characters is killed due to a trap set for him that the other character..
I have really enjoyed them all. going to have to listen to them again. thank you
