I loved absolutely everything about this story and the narrator did an amazing job. 200% would recommend.
This is a great value for one credit. An engaging story,lovable characters and wonderful narrator. I’m so in love with this author/narrator duo that I’ve already decided to do the Black Ocean series next. I think you will be happy you gave this series a listen.

80% amusing and 20% crap. The 80% parts are when Esper bothers being Esper, Kubu is goofy yet sobering, Tiffany is a teenage apprentice, Wesley squared is a new dynamic, and the mission titles are grand.The 20% negative is the fact the biggest obstacle for the protagonists is Esper’s hemming & hawing to the point..

I do believe that this is the best lit rpg that I have listened to. Mikael Naramore once again gave a fantastic perfomance. It was thoroughly enjoyable and I would like to try other books from the author as well. Highly recommended!
I loved the original black ocean series and that started off slow, but the world building and characters were top notch and I couldn’t put the book down. narrator makes or breaks an audiobook. definitely broke this one…sounds like an infomercial host or a children’s book.
This book isn’t very exciting. The premise is a GM of DnD game gets put in his own campaign. He then decides he “just wants to tag along”. So for the first few HOURS of the book it is just him walking behind everyone and talking to himself in his head going “Hmmm I wonder..
It was a good trilogy. Had some holes here and there, a few inconsistencies, but it wasn’t bad. I prefer more descriptive battles and that’s where I felt it was lacking. Some of the decisions and how things worked out didnt make sense.
