This is definitely not a Firefly derivative, but it’s own take on “outlaw misfits in space.” The author has fleshed out his characters very well, each with their own quirks, strengths, weaknesses, and character flaws. The stories are heavily character-driven and pacing is right on, with serious bits interspersed with comedy or other lighthearted material…
This is an ok book, but it seems to be more of an adolescent audience.

In order for me to rate a book it must be amazing or truly horrific. This book falls into the later. Hyped as a Firefly (one of the greatest TV shows ever) like book full of action and daring. I found this book to be dull, with shallow character arcs that are predictable and boring…
So worth the time, characters evolve, you’ll love some hate others. But IMO, that’s what makes a great story. And the final chapters make the nail biting worth the wait. enjoy

I am currently on book 4 of the 8 included with this single purchase. Early on I was a little disappointed in the story structure but this quickly evolved into a really enjoyable series. I will be looking forward to discovering future books from both the Author and Narrator

For those Firefly/Serenity fans looking for more adventure, check out this excellent series. You will not be disappointed.
This had a lot of potential and started off ok. I liked the mixup of sci-fi and fantasy. Wizards existing in an advanced space faring future is a fun idea the author could point anywhere. Instead, it quickly became a silly advertisement for the Catholic Church.
