This is a fun ride just for the snark. The fully developed storyline, characters and universe, along with superb narration, are a bonus. And then, 80+ hours later when it’s over, you will want to know what is going to happen next.

J. S. Morin has invited you into a world of both technology and magic with wonderful characters that are far from perfect. This is one crazy ride from one end of the galaxy to the other. I hope to see more of the Black Ocean series in the future.

It gripped me, it lost me. I was excited, I was bored. I felt for the characters, I couldn’t care less. I know this isn’t very helpful, but I don’t really know how I feel about it. Don’t expect excellence, but it’s worth the time.

Really enjoyed listening to this, it’s not the most cutting edge sci-fi, it’s but it’s a really entertaining twist. The mixture of what is possible by what the author adds to science allows for really creative plot twists. The possibilities are introduced in advance and then used in unexpected creative ways that get characters out..

Spectacular writing and reading was well done awesome would suggest you give a listening too

This was an enjoyable and entertaining series and well worth the one credit. Mikael Naramore did a great job as always.

This was an amazing series. I tend to watch more sci-fi than I read, but I was told that I had to listen to this on audio and I’m glad I did. It was excellent.

Admittedly I bought this for 1 credit because of the hours and it had good reviews. By the end of the series I was very sad to have it end. The characters were kinda like family at that point! Good stories, funny lines, character development, excellent narration, interesting tech, and WIZARDS! Highly recommend this series.

Great listen! Thumbs up for both the writer and narrator. In fairness, Black Ocean is a more forgiving place than the one Firefly was flying in, but still fun as hell.
