the book series started off strong but fell flat in the last book. While a lot of things made sense in the “we have no idea what we are doing so we make stupid choices” sort of way, it got to be pretty aggravating. At times it was hard to keep going through the books.
I found this book to be boring with no purpose or plot. Just a dead guy playing a game no substance to it at all. Sorry if this isn’t what you want to hear it’s just my honest opinion.

I was looking for a sci-fi book and was recommended this read. Turns out I am not a fan of sci-fi/ fantasy fusion.
I absolutely loved the tales. Mort and Carl are such memorable characters and it’s easy to get caught up in their adventures.
