It just wasn’t what I was wanting to listen to. it was a very long book and I felt it time did not go by fast while listening I stopped and started a lot to finish it, but like I said It just wasn’t what I was wanting to listen to. Narration was really good..
this book is worthless generic garbage and extremely painful to listen to. If you want to pull your hair out at the stupidity of the characters go ahead and get this book
I am usually more prolific than that, but honestly, this was fantastic. I loved fire fly, and I love this series. Often times I won’t get through an audiobook because it fades out and interest is lost. But this… This held me spellbound. I can’t say enough About it. This will not be my only..
Every. Single. Book. continues to expand the Black Ocean universe and characters with new and entertaining.. everything. Even more importantly, (with extremely rare exceptions over 100’s of hours) the universe and characters remain completely consistent and enveloping. srsly. I’m glad to see more authors venturing in to the tabletop side of LitRPG. Nothing against video games, but I enjoy D&D like fantasy LitRPG. Dice rolls and Str, Dex, Wis, Int, Con, Cha style stat points. Probably don’t need to read the character sheet as often as they do. Thoroughly enjoyed the 4th wall..
Mech combat with an interesting story line. A few recognizable mechs from the old popular mech series. Deals a fair amount with squad tactics. Story develops decently, narration is remarkable. Definitely worth one credit for the 3 audiobook set. If battletech were just a video game that you could “live” in.

This particular story fell short of his usual standards. The injection of current political themes was like a cudgel and was frustratingly distracting.
