Too much missing background story
Review from Galaxy Outlaws: The Complete Black Ocean Mobius Missions, 1-16.5 →
This series feels like you’re starting in the middle of a story with no explanation of anything that has transpired prior. Author goes on about topics with what feels like an assumption that you already have the background information needed to understand. I made it a small way into Mission 2 hoping beyond hope there..
Thank you J.S. Morin. This was perfection. I think a lot of us felt like that after Firefly and J.S. Morin made something just as good. It also reminded me a lot of One Piece at times. The characters are amazing and Mikael Naramore is king of voices! Big thanks to him for making these..
Not Engaged with the Characters
Review from Black Ocean →
I have read/listened to two other complete collections of J.S. Morin, so I was aware of the writing style and some of the characters. Black Ocean: Galaxy Outlaws was a very good listen from start to finish. Black Ocean: Mercy for Hire didn’t grab me until midway thru the 93 hours. This collection just isn’t..
Wonderful character development and feel good adventures.
Review from Galaxy Outlaws: The Complete Black Ocean Mobius Missions, 1-16.5 →
This is some fun, easy listening if you like adventure and characters that can become your friends. Well written and wonderfully narrated. The storyline is pretty good, but leaves potential depth unexplored to make well rounded, quick endings to some of the adventures. But still, I loved listening to it.
