Some of the best voice acting for very different characters I’ve ever heard by one VA. Worth every cent, you invest in each story.
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. It was a good read with a solid storyline and interesting characters, kind of a firefly feel but more friendly. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
The book mixes many known tropes. submersive VR, Battletech, MechWarrior, Eve Online, etc. if you enjoy those things, this is right up your alley. the story has some predictable beats, but not all. also had a nice aire of mystery to it once the setup is complete. New adventures of Esper and Kubu and they acquire new companions that grow on you, at first I was skeptical but each companion came into their own. Mikael Naramore is a fantastic narrator and I’m looking forward to trying out the additional Black Ocean stories.
