I was a little uncertain at the beginning. Like most stories you learn to love the characters and want to follow their adventures. The science/magic was actually an interesting take. something original that added to an original universe. Overall I recommend. In general not bad. My big negative was the Esper was way to much of a religious nut. She was more of a Zelot and egotistical snob. The fact that almosr everything works out for her, and she gets her way such much just made it worse.
J.S. Is an amazing story writer, and character making aficionado. Simply put “ dude rocks “ No one has captured my attention as well except perhaps Sabergagen and those are massive shoes to fill, but Morin is making his bid and he’s all in in my book.
I was looking forward to the story of Mort. Unfortunately, J.S Morning decided that not 1 but 2 kids ( not even adults) needed to be transgender and spent way too much time explaining it. This side story line ruined the entire story that I and many others were here to experience. We are here..
This is a fantastic collection of sci-fi at it’s best. There is so much heart in this. The characters are worth caring about and rooting for the whole time.
