Everything about this book was great. This was funny and entertaining with happy endings. I love a happy ending

The story itself was really good story, worth the read. However, the narration was a major drawback. The male narrator was tolerable and did a decent job overall, but the female narrator was extremely difficult to listen to. Her tone and delivery felt off, which made it hard to stay immersed in the book.

This is my third listen. i just love the characters both main and side everything flowed so well and the storyline was easy to follow but predictable. i love this story 🥰🥰

Loved the story and readers. The author developed the characters and story beautifully. It really captured the essence of Santa Claus, Indiana, specifically of the African American community and fellowship. Absolutely loved it! Great read for the holiday season!

The overall book was good but the narrators were not. They definitely sounded robotic and I ended up reading the rest and not listening because the narrators were not good.

I will say, this story will take you through the emotional roller coaster. I loved the narrators, they were perfect. They story took care with the sensitive subject matter. I wanted to understand her mother’s backstory to try and figure her out but I am not sure there is anything she can say to excuse..

This book took me through it. I think it is the story of many young women and a testament of how the system fails Black women.
