I’m having a hard time getting into this audiobook. The narrators sound robotic—completely emotionless. I’m not sure if the print version reads the same way, but the Audible version just isn’t it. I throughly enjoyed the book. I loved having two story’s in one. At first I thought I’d choose the cousin but in the end I found Mason has everything to get a good woman and more importantly, how to keep her. I have to say this though, the only thing that could make it better..
I did not like Staten. He gaslit the hell out of Liberty, and was a doormat for Chanel. Stayed on Libs case and wouldn’t lift a finger to Chanel’s ass. I’m glad he started to get it together but he was way too entitled for me. Honorable mention Justice liked the way she stood on..

I loved everything about this book! Narrators 10/10. I really enjoyed the 1st book but this one was Everything!! The characters the relationships between the siblings. The slow burn the 🌶🌶🌶🥵🥵 I don’t know what to read next. Well done!
I loved the messiness of the love triangle. But I absolutely hated the narrators. They were not a good choice for this book.

Overall story line was good. It kept me interested and didn’t drag. I would have liked a little more though. Had I read it myself and not listened to it, easily could have given it 4 stars.

I dislike the violence between us black folks and then have it validated. I watched the series on TV at the same time. The narration was superb brought the emotions to life. Overall good listening, can’t wait for book 2/season 2
