The names, layout of the city, and the magical processes are all quite creative. A lot of impressive detail is evident, but it drags especially at the last 20 minutes.

I also love a book with great narraration. This is the second book I listened to in sequence of the two authors. This is an easy to listen to sci-fi story.
A surprisingly addicting take on a classic idea. Only wish there were more than 10 books in the series!
(light spoilers ahead) we finally get to see some real power from our MC, and the fight with the nobles has finally begun! it’s what all of us have been waiting for, and I cannot wait for the next book.

I loved the book. The author has created a consistent MC driven to achieve his goals all while making him a believably flawed individual. The actor / reader is AMAZING and has a great voice quality; someone you want to listen to.
