I listen at night time and the narrators tone started drifting me to sleep too quickly but once the scene is set the action doesn’t stop. MC’s bullheaded character flaws are bit frustrating as growth is extremely slow in that area.m, but that can be life. Exciting, painful, raw, nicely wrapped up at the end!
The only thing that saved this title is the performance. Hutchinson’s villians are tired, stupid, asinine and generally a bad idea. He should get a job were he has to wear a paper hat.

When not bogged down on reviewing stats, the story is entertaining and engaging. I will continue to listen to this series but the gaming aspects are abused. At least the writer, and probably the narrator, can just save whole chapters, and then cut and paste the chapters devoted to stats into the book, only adding..
I slept on this series for a while. The system and trauma is really close to what I want in a story so I really enjoy it. Already got access to the next two books
When you start writing they, them and theirs when talking about 1 person it starts to get ridiculous.
When plot starts going towards awkward love story I lost interest. I couldn’t even make it to the end of the book.

This was a quick and fun read. I really liked the twist on the apocalypse but that people were still people with all their quirks! There was good character and plot development with lots of humor!
