The humor is tighter and is more spread out over the cast. Dan is still Dan so hopefully you liked his first appearance. I will warn you this book has a cliff hanger ending. I do recommend this book.

My daughters did not like the mirror part of the chapter. When I told them about it, they said that it was something on TikTok that was scary and that I should do it. so I skipped that chapter sorry

This is an entertaining, well-written, smart, funny and delightfully narrated series. Makes me think an apocalypse might not be all bad. Oh, wait, no it would be bad. But this series is good.

Ever chapter there is an immersion breaking reference to modern day pop culture. Of you like that sort of thing go ahead, but i found it tedious.

well done and great world building. I have listened to hundreds of books similar but this is to tier.

First let me say books 1-6 love them; but once you get to 7 it starts going down hill, then gets brained and chucked into a blackhole when we get to 9. For whatever reason Carver apparently killed 2/3 of his brain when he got drunk in book 7 because so much stupid shit happens..
