After I understood the characters, plot and performance I really enjoyed this book. Though it wasn’t until the second book that it all took shape.
Pros: 1 – The story is phenomenal. It’s funny, keeps you on your toes, and the plot kept me wondering which way it would go because Bobby knows how to switch things up. Usually I prefer when there’s character development but I like that Zed didn’t change. The whole “slow burns don’t age” thing makes..
I googled Mitches 1968 black and green electric Mustang, and it’s real and in Austin Texas!! I love how it was introduced into the story and was factual. I’m sure other parts are too! excellent collection, gonna get book ten now.
For a protagonist that supposedly has an abundance of knowledge, a great tactician and learns from his mistakes; He happens to make the dumbest decisions at the most crucial times. I abhor books like this and the people that write them. Also the people that give this series great reviews when it’s really mediocre at..
I don’t know why there are bad reviews. it is not boring, it’s got more than just action. Characters are three dimensional and become more fleshed out as the story progresses. the writing and narration are top notch, especially compared to much of the cookie cutter unoriginal stuff. it’s well worth the read if you..
Great listen, plenty of twists and turns. Warning it ends on a cliff hanger. Can’t wait to listen to the next one!

I enjoyed it. Very long audio book. Chapters swapping past and present so heads up or you’ll be backpedaling like me. Worth the listen. Excavation of a dark past. Compelling feud. looking forward to the next book.
I’m 1 hour and 54 minutes into the book and am compelled to rebut the reviews of “slow at first”. Those reviews don’t appreciate the character building that took place that was necessary for thier appreciation of the protagonist, his reasoning, his purpose and why he became the protagonist. I’ve stopped here to make this..
