this was the first book I listened to. this then planet of the Japes. then I couldn’t find anymore cause I didn’t have audible. 12 books is insane. I’m gonna be listening to these for like the next month.

Really good. Fun story. The gang is back at it with another planet hopping adventure.

just about everything very slow to begin with picked up by second book main character development needs a little help

the story was advertised to be “if Douglas Adams wrote about the apocalypse” or “Monty Python at the end of the world”. It was neither.

absolutely hated the ending. it felt rushed and pointless. overall good but wow what crap story telling at the end.

Some of the things in the first book that bothered me were addressed in this book making it better. I love the story and the unpredictable twist and turns. Looking forward to the next book.

while the protagonist is reasonably intelligent, he sometimes acts in seriously stupid ways in order to further the storyline. it’s a sign showing the authors inability to transition without it. also some forced woke bits that some may find uncomfortable to be pushed into their face.

Genuinely the worst book I’ve ever listened to. It would’ve been painful enough to read, but the “audio drama” set up made it so much worse. While Dunning is new to me, Thron certainly isn’t. And I was here for Thron, stayed for Dunning. Both do a wonderful job with Darling of Fate. And I’m a sucker for a good animal sidekick. Go goose!
