I Was really enjoying this series. Loving the characters, the satire and the dialogue. And then the author decides to go all “Greg Gutfield”. Ok, we get it! You don’t like Austin, TX! The author wanted to share his disdain for “Woke” and intellectuals, and only succeeded in taking this reader out of story. Seriously,..
I usually don’t like books written with all the flourish put into this one. It works in this case. In fact, I think the story would suffer without it. From clearly made up derivations of real words to the maudlin ending that gives a nod to pulp crime fiction of the 1920s to 1940s, this..
I work nights so I listen to a lot of audio books this was a good story to listen to. A friend just telling you their story.
It seems like every LITrpg does something especially well… this one takes my favorite things from several LITrpg books and does them all well!
I enjoyed the book and it’s definitely what is in store for the future. I’ll be dust by then. Scary stuff. On to book 2.
These were entertaining but had a twist i never saw coming. Just when i thought it was going to be predictable it fooled me again. I had to keep reading.
the character Chase is the most annoying character I’ve ever encountered in a book. terrible shallow person whois obsessed w being famous on social media.
I really hope we get more Dan Deadman and Space Team novels. And I will definitely download anything written by Barry Hutchinson or narrated by Phil Thron. Both artists are at the top of their craft. I laughed out loud just sitting on my porch all by myself listening to this.
So good! Kept me on the edge of my seat and it was hilarious, I was laughing and yelling out loud! So fun I want more of these #CrimeTime baby!
