Wanted to like it because the author is very talented and I love a good dystopia, but this just flew too close to the weird conspiracies that were swirling during Covid. Some aspects are really really good, but the thematic stuff was just too cringy to make this one worth recommending
the title screens are getting out if hand. 10+minutes straight in multiple sections of the book are just titles/stats. the story is still good I just don’t understand why you’d do that.

I like the narrator I like the book but man just take a few minutes to figure out the military slang. now I’ve only made it an hour..
This is the best of Barry Hutchison’s writing! Great characters that will grab your heart, twist your mind and make you laugh! I liked it better than his space Odyssey and I listened to all of them. Don’t hesitate – listen to it now! I can’t wait for the next book to come out. Hurry..
this is one of the best books I’ve experienced in a long time. it’s very down to earth and believable makes you feel like you’re really there. best writing I’ve seen in a long time! I haven’t even finished the series and I’m telling everyone I know about it

Great story. My only complaint is I wish there was an epilogue for years later. I don’t want to give away the ending. But we’re left with questions at the end unless there’s another book. Incredible narrator.
