This was a rather refreshing change from the usual fantasy book. If you don’t mind a semi-dark fantasy setting I think you’ll following the misadventures of Dan.
Dark, but funny

don’t believe the homophobes, it’s like 2 mentions in the whole book and it’s not even that bad.the story is excellent, despite the minor plothole of a biochem PhD student also having an extremely extensive understanding of physics, but sure why not.it’s a great premise and I can’t wait for more
Phil is a good narrator who had to narrate an entirely juvenile, paint by numbers litrpg that confused jokes a 10 year old would make with humor and a good substitute for plot and substance. The introduced “Moopies” while a play on annoying children’s characters from cartoons or perhaps a scrappy doo esque character added..
You know it was a great book when it ends and you sit there feeling lost. Like you had to say bye to your best friend for good. Gonna miss good ole Zed and Murphy. Bobby….another please??
I love this series! I read it on Kindle years back. I was looking for a new book I could listen to while working and I was excited to see this series pop up in my recommendations! Listening became my Zen meditation when I woke up at 5:30AM every morning last winter to shovel snow..
I’m sorry to say that I started loving this book it looked like it was going to an interesting place but then just became kind of a slog of listening to kind of a boring run of the dungeon and dragons game. The book ended really really poorly not on a cliffhanger it just kind..
I’m not at all new to the life and work of the great Chaplin. This new biography presents the story of the man from the beginning of his life to the end. A welcome addition to all the books and articles about Chaplin and his times.
insightful look into the life of a unique creative genius. Also a reminder of a dark period on American paranoia.
awakens forbidden necro powers while OP adventurer parents are on a quest, has to flee to front line of fight against rift monsters. interesting world and magic system with lots left to be uncovered in future books. decent characters, interactions and development. will continue series
