The protagonist makes lots of poor choices and doesn’t seem like a good person, or an interesting person. Only the NPCs are kind of interesting. The content is thin and poorly paced. Too much time is spent on things that never become significant. So far, I’ve only found 3 authors that do a passable job..

Love the book and the series. I’m just tired of Zack. It always starts poor guy something’s wrong with his feelings then he lucks up on power. Again the writing, story line,and progression hits all the great points just with 1 whinny character.

not the humor I’m used to from Bobby Adair. Good story, poignant, I guess it just wasn’t what I was expecting after slow burn and his others. Doesn’t seem like he was very impressed w humanity while he wrote it 😉
