Loved it! Literally laughed out loud at a few parts. I believe that this sort of adventure would typically be termed “rollicking,” although that is not a word that is usually associated with the post-apocalyptic genre. Nevertheless, rollicking it is! Imaginative, cleverly observed, filled with dry wit, not taking itself at all seriously, and action-packed..
loved that the mc is a scientist and enjoyed the parts where he teaches a young mage about math and physics in order to better understand lightning and electricity. Yet hes also a dnd esq raging barbarian. Liked that the system is about insights and understandings instead of stats. I think it wprked out pretty..
The book starts off pretty strong, but drops in writing quality when our MC starts sharing scientific information with others. A good hour or two of the book should have been removed because it’s all overly detailed descriptions of fairly advanced scientific knowledge. It’s basically completely pointless. Loved every bit of the story! To hear of the power they continue to earn! It’s truly amazing series! Hopefully when the next book comes out it won’t get pushed back for a few weeks huh Audible?
The book made sense, had a good and rational MC, and a deep sense of history that was great, can’t wait for the next.
Starts a little slow, but this author never fails to write a good book. MC seems to be pretty gullible but with a soft heart, at first. But he wisens up and turns into an interesting character. Will follow this series, as I do with all this author writes.
I enjoyed the storytelling of the different characters set apart in the world by distance, space and time.
