It is good book, but nothing special, and its downfall is that it cannot escape the “feeling” as a kiddie book, as hard as it tries. This is the first book I haven’t finished in years. I made it about half way through before I stopped. Narration is nothing special but the story was just tedious. My search for a decent monster LitRPG continues.
I would love to see additional story arcs as the characters are so compelling and the action is so vivid. Immortals leave such an opening for future events.
I certainly hope this series continues and doesn’t lose any momentum. I’m so happy with this series it makes me wish I were a slow burn.

I started listening to these because of Phil Thron. I’ll listen to anything he narrates. That said I really liked the first book in the series it was quite funny. Second book was a little more monopythony less Douglas Adams E but still very funny and enjoyable. 3rd and 4th books got much darker lost..
