book overall is ok…but xzack as a character is terrible..i pushed through book 1 mostly because ryuns story and development but having to grog through zack was rough

This story is a decent use of a credit, but it’s nothing you’ll go back and listen to again. The premise starts out interesting, but the author never fully built it out. The worldbuilding was fun, but quite shallow. Ultimately the plot is entirely predictable and the resolution is a complete cliché.
just what every escape fantasy wants…personal made up pronouns. kind of drags you out of the story flow when the writer has to jam them in in odd places. It’s a bit sad that the stories rarely cover the fact that the suicide rate of Trans people is not significantly reduced by being accepted by..
