One of my favorite things about the chrysalis series was the lack of explicit language. I feel that when authors use this kind of language it feels out of place. It also seems lazy. You are a word-smith for Pete’s sake. Do better 🙂

Best in the series so far!

The most interesting character in a long time is Ryun. Great back story. Interesting dialogue. Fascinating journey. Could not wait to hear more. But instead we get a lot of Zach. Zach is a boring one dimensional paladin type, that inexplicably thinks a serial killer is ok to date because reasons, who gets everything handed..
Good Enough

Russian authors big man around town arrogance in their characters is always grating and spoils a good narrative with unnecessary grossness. The constant questioning of everything can get pretty annoying too like damn no one with a mind like that should be in the field as a fighter! Makes me long for the anti intellectual..
Seriously, I picked this up impulsively as a random trash book I could put on in the background at work, so why the heck was I tearing up at the end of this story about a vacuum? How was this so good? It was funny without relying on the usual litrpg snarkiness, it was action..
