Well written. Well presented. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. A post-apocalyptic yarn for the thinking person. Clever. Humorous without being camp. A relatable every-man protagonist. The kind of post-apocalyptic nomadic warrior that I would aspire to be in the same circumstance.

I absolutely loved this story. At the beginning I knew almost nothing about John Mack except for his connection to UFO research. After reading this book he may be one of my favorite human figures. He really did live a full life (despite its tragic end) and passionately pursued his interests and principles. For me..

Zack is written as very unsympathetic, always being holier-than-thou, every other character seems to praise him without showing why he is praisworthy. He left his woman and daughter to fend for themselves while he goes hunting monstors as if he is the only one that can do that. Zack has absolutly no empithy for anyone..
I adore books with good world building, like “savage domination” series, “the completionist cronicals” series ect. this one has the best worldbuilding out of all the books iv read/listened too. and the characters building is also realy amazing, they stay true to themselves and dont “merge together” (personality wise) like some other books do. im..
great story
