The narrator is obviously in his sixties or older and doing first-person narration for a college age kid. I couldn’t get over it. Having said that, the books are enjoyable.
The narration was all wrong..

I really enjoyed this book. Normal every day people surviving a apocalypse. 99% of apocalypse books are usually special forces, military or police fighting with high tech equipment yelling oo-raw and saying a rank every second just to fill pages with words “nothing against our real military”. And they’re always trying to find a cure…

Don’t listen to the criticisms about the narrator. If you listen to a sample you’ll get a good idea. He does a great job, despite an occasional mispronunciation.
this was a great story that kept me listening everyday. the narration that’s great too, the way he changed his voice for different characters and made it seem like you were watching a movie. very good storyline 2
Bobby Adair nailed it again. He continues to create amazing story concepts and characters that draw the reader into their believable world. Anyone who has loved Slow Burn, Dusty’s Diary or any of his other books makes this a must read.

Wow, I haven’t listened to this good of a book in ages! I absolutely love it! The cultivation aspects were amazing! I love the progression. I love the main character and the secondary characters. The author didn’t take you away from the main character for too long, which allowed me to really enjoy getting to..
I love that this story is so, very human. from battling mental trauma, to the tedium of simple survival, Bobby Adair created a very believable fiction. Every time I thought he missed the mark in Zed’s character, he rounded it out with the perfect reactions from the rest of the characters and situations. Very, thoroughly..
Zombie stories are everywhere but this one is special. This story explores different types or levels of the zombie condition. I found it very engaging with tons of action.
I love funny as much as the next person, but really how much can a person take? The main thing I look forward to is a great story. This series has that in plenty. I loved the humor and banter in book 1. I liked it well enough in book two. About the halfway part..
