Don’t let the cover fool you. This was a great book with so much humor and well written interaction between characters. I laughed again and again, and thoroughly enjoyed this.
So much fun!

A fun silly story, the outtakes at the end are golden and a great addition. The story is exactly what it says on the tin and pulled off surprisingly well, especially as it also has a grittier and more realistic world simultaneously.
Both book 1 and book 2 are pretty much political and societal in nature. Very little to do with the military. Unless the author is stating that all the cursing is a military norm. I guess if it was listed under something other then military I would have given it a better rating, just not..
This book is not as funny as Space Team, but it was a good start for a spinoff. I haven’t decided if I will go through all the Deadman books, but I will definitely go on to book 2.
the author shares a very similar sense of humor as I do. loved this book. from the start i didnt know whether it was a stupid story, or what… but I started catching hints of sarcasm and then I realized how accurate the exaggerations of this story are to current times.. the town of tolerance..
Just buy it. Hilarious and action packed. Tons of crew development with a galaxy sized war kicking off. After the first book I picked up all the rest and each one has been better than the last. As a Bobiverse and Red Dwarf fan I can say these fit right in on the shelf ahh..
I really enjoyed Dads vs Zombies, even though I am saturated with zombie books. Hoped for similar here. Similar but nowhere near as good. Did not engage me. Though Phil is a master of narrators, his excellent work could not make it a good book. more Dad’s vs please!
The book is hilarious and I love the blooper reel at the end. I would probably buy an audio book of Phil’s bloopers.
