loved it! Cal Varver is a great character. the whole story is great. looking forward to book 2.
Do yourself a favor and pick up Space Team or Dan Deadman Book 1 if you havent read either.
Cal and Space Team on another Space adcenture. Phil really brings Barry’s characters to life.
I really enjoyed the first few hours as it mixed a blend of comedy and a non zombie apocalypse but the humor tailed off and the story turned predictable as it went on. I still recommend as a good lighter apocalypse story read.

all of the books in the space team universe are amazing. they’re funny, and action packed. the underlying stories are very good. i’m in awe of hutchisons creative descriptions of situations and emotions. phil thron absolutely brings these books to life.

This was promoted as a “funny” sci-fi story. I found the protagonist and his word play more annoying than funny. Might be amusing to some but not to me.
When I first discovered Jerry, the Post Apocalyptic Nomadic Warrior, I thought for certain there was no way to keep up the great storytelling with all of the humor, snark, wit, and sometimes heavy and/or sad moments.
