the book was about 4 hours too long to due to the droning on off stats. good way to kill a great story. Phil Thron is 5 stars as usual. Ivan is a great writer…I think he gets too deep into the bottomless pit of information in his own mind though. #Zacksucks

The book has a cool story. Though to clarify after a quarter of the book I skipped everything about Zach. He is useless and did not in any way make the story better. I’m all for a character you love to hate but Zach is beyond that. Sadly I doubt I will continue this series…

Slow Burn starts off pretty solid. Zed goes from someone with no real direction to a guy with purpose, and that early character growth kept me interested. The first two books actually show him developing in a meaningful way, but after that, things just stall out. Zed stops growing, and honestly, the story does too…
