the book was AMAZING, but the narration was so cringy….I finished it because I liked the writing, but the narrator was just wrong for this book.
It took a long time to generate any interest. I almost gave up a couple of times. Found the female lead annoying and immature in the extreme throughout.
All I can wonder is where has this author been my whole life. This perfectly meshes so many of my favorite tropes. While still surprising me and constantly keeping me at my toes. the pacing is beautiful and I can’t wait to dive into the next one.
love the writing style. love the banter between the characters! love the love! would love to have more book come from this series…
I really enjoyed this book! Terrific characters. And I really need to start book 2 of this series. So many questions need answers. What are Cynthia and Adam?
This was hard to review since I liked the story. Alex made the story awful. His reading style made me cringed. Thank goodness for Miss Sarah. I always enjoy listening to her. Wish male reader would read with his normal voice. I’ve listen to him before and he did not improve. Wish the author listen..
The narrators breathy voice was annoying and somehow remained consistent through romantic and scary scenes. I could barely force myself to finish the book.
trying to get through the book..The writing was subpar, the characters uninteresting, the narrators lacked emotion. I was able to listen to the first 20 minutes, 40 minutes in the middle and the last 25 minutes to get the whole story – yawn….
I cant get past how this is a romance (even dark) when it starts off so traumatizing between the pair. The narrator sounds stale, and monotone so its hard to listen to
Simple story but male voice was too distracting and not southern, female was very engaging. Would recommend if you’re stuck on what’s next
