Review from June First →
The book looked like it had promise from the reviews and the plot summary but I have no clue why it has such high ratings. Maybe cause its a tiktok book promotion? It seems like something a high schooler would write and the characters seem very flat.
It’s a juvenile story. No build up of characters. It feels like the author is trying to sell a series of books. Nothing was finished in the first book.
I felt that the MMC and the FMC were both boring. They were too in their own world to even notice what was going on around them. I also felt that there wasn’t any depth to their romance. I also felt that the plot line fell flat for me.
The one man who literally worships her is the same man that she repeatedly rejects to the point that I actually cried. I don’t cry for men. She literally breaks his heart on purpose with no back or necessity, just literally doesn’t love him or give a shit about him. I will not be reading..
Story is a nice spin off of Beauty and the Beast. The FMC is a bit annoying doing things that cause huge problems throughout the book by acting before thinking so she seems a little immature. I like all the characters she meets in the castle and all the MC’s. Adding fairies in the mix..
The story was predictable and lame, and the sex scenes were disturbing sometimes. Disappointed I wasted a credit on this.
honestly, I was disappointed. there were some really good parts and I got this book after reading other keri lake works. infernium was so good. but if Isadora emphasized how small teeny tiny eeny weeny she was compared to him again I was going to throw my phone! like girl we get it your small..
I didn’t see it coming! I, an ADHD person who always spoils the plot when watching movies didn’t see it coming!
