Struggled to finish. It IS good, yet somehow frustrating. The pace is fast and tight, but the characters are a little annoying for reasons I wish I could qualify, as well the cultivation system/ranks are oft-overstaying their welcome in the prose. My favorite part of the whole Audiobook was a certain… “Woof” happened. Sent shivers down my spine. Great book.

The story definitely gets better the further along the series gets. The main character becomes more likable as he gets stronger, which in and of itself is a major improvement to the story.
