All the adventures and hijinks you’d expect, plus a few twists and turns you’d didn’t. Definitely looking forward to more and sad the dungeon has a finite number of levels for Carl and Donut to conquer!
And laugh. So much. I can’t believe a book with a cover featuring a cat in a sailor hat moved me that much, but here we are
Was the eyeball goo in the mouth too much? Not if you are a fan of Carl. This was a fantastic continuation of the Dungeon series and another brilliant performance by Jeff Hayes. Seriously though, the eyeball goo in the mouth made me scream in disgusted horror. Highly recommend!
Most books I love like or drop where I am at in them if I can’t connect. The concept is good but for me it is just eh… kind of flat. Hard to get into.
Too many unusual names, creatures. I felt as though I was beginning the series from book 5. The story takes place in Japan and the humans are supposed to be Japanese, but they have blonde hair and blue eyes?!? This requires further explanation. Even Book 1 did a poor job of world building and character..
