Give it some time. you may feel like you are trudging through the foundations for the main character and then somewhere along the way you find you are on the journey with him. I like it enough to purchase book 2.
I love all these stories and how no matter the age you can and deserve love. the narrators were all fantastic in bringing each character to life.

Even with everything shaken up in this book… it still feels like more of the same only bigger. Each time it’s all about hitting the next tier… new challenges same plot. I read and droped first book of these series atleast 6 times, and just because there are only so much good books on cultivation genre, through much pain I read this book to the end. But next books are very good and has many insights and depth which you would not expect from this genre…
It moves a bit fast in the beginning but gets better I am interested to see what is happy.

enjoyed book at the end. looking forward to next one. Character growth is a little slow
similar to Dragon Heart and Cradle series. its a really good listen, the only issue I have is the names. All the Asian names of characters get hard to differentiate by sound alone to someone who has not heard them before.

I really enjoy this series, and this book wasn’t exactly bad, it just felt…out of place a duller than what came before. Everyone being separated just wasn’t fun, and adding another character to the roster before we get to really know the one we just got in the last book feels like a bit much..
